How does Natural Thin Veneer Stone compare to artificial stone? |

Natural Thin Veneer is the real thing - a natural stone so it will be more durable. It is cut thin so the thin veneer can compete with the thickness and weight of the man-made stone. It can be applied to any surface an artificial is used on.

Can I purchase your natural thin veneer directly from Natural Stone Veneers International? |

If there is not a dealer within your geographical area we will work with you to get you the stone you need for your project(s).

Where do I find the cost of the various stones NSVI has? |

How are the various stone products for NSVI packaged and sold? |
| A. |
NSVI Flats for all the varieties are sold in a recyclable plastic NTV corrugated box, 10 square feet of product to a box. NSVI Corners are sold in a recyclable plastic NTV corrugated box, 10 linear feet to a box. For larger quantities, we have wooden NTV crates for easy handling. Flats are sold 180 square feet to a crate.

What type of preparation is needed to apply the natural thin veneer stone? |

There are three different types of surfaces for application of the stone. Please refer to our Stone Installation page within the website for diagrams and more information.

How heavy is the average thin veneer? |

Approximately 9-13 pounds per square foot.

Can I blend different types of your stone to achieve the look I'm after? |

Absolutely. We encourage you to select those you like and are suited for your project. The variety will add even greater appeal.

Is it safe to use NSVI's natural thin veneer on exterior and interior applications? |

Yes. We encourage you to follow all ASTM guidelines for exterior applications. By using the stone on exterior and interior you'll provide a balance of color and texture throughout your project.

Will smoke from a fireplace stain the natural thin stone? |
| A. |
It possibly could. Initially, just try soap and water to clean the stone surface if a smoke residue does appear. If that doesn't work, consult your NSVI dealer. On another note, we suggest you always keep the stone surface clean and free of mortar during the application process.

Is any maintenance required with your stone? |

Aside from the natural beauty of NSVI's natural thin veneer, the beauty of using stone is there is no maintenance. Just enjoy it!
