NATURAL STONE VENEERS INTERNATIONAL (NSVI) FEATURED ON NATIONAL TELEVISION

By Dean H. Wild

Designing Spaces, a half hour home improvement television series, featured Natural Stone Veneers International of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin in their March programming. The show explores all facets of home décor and design, from furnishings to architecture, and design correspondent David Jones speaks with corporate liaison Jason Buechel about the production, installation methods and long-lasting beauty of the veneer products offered by Natural Stone Veneers International (NSVI). The natural quarried products come from around the world and are the result of a cutting process using patented machinery. Stone veneers are a perfect addition to interior or exterior surfaces, water features or any other structural element that requires a natural yet elegant touch. NSVI offers a wide variety of beautiful, natural stone options. Product photos and company information may be viewed at www.nsvi.com. Their high quality product and global availability made them a perfect fit for a nationally aired show such as Designing Spaces. The Designing Spaces episode featuring Natural Stone Veneers International aired on Saturday, March 24, 2007 at 7am on WE (Woman’s Entertainment) and on Sunday, March 25, 2007 at 7am on TLC (The Learning Channel).

STRAIGHTFORWARD INSTALLATION OF STONE VENEERS

Natural Stone Veneers International brings a new process to the creation of real stone veneers. The finished product is thin and lightweight, which makes it easy to handle and install. It offers the timeless beauty only natural stone can offer coupled with the durability only nature and eons of geological formation can provide.

Any structurally sound surface, indoors or out, will withstand an application of this new, thinner veneer. A galvanized mesh lath is attached to a moisture barrier, and then the lath is given a scratch coat of mortar. Once the scratch coat has cured, a piece of veneer buttered with 1/2-in to 1-inch of mortar is pressed into the scratch coat. Each piece of veneer is done this way, following a predetermined pattern until the surface is complete.

Once the mortar has reached a thumb-print dryness, excess mortar is removed from the veneer and the joints with tools and a whisk broom. The installation is as simple as that and the end product is less weighty than traditional stone veneers, so additional structure supports, ledgers or ties are not required.

The selection at Natural Stone Veneers International includes over 50 stone veneers and patterns. A Master Distributor Network ships the product throughout the United States.

ALL NATURAL DURABILITY FOUND IN THIN STONE VENEERS

Natural Stone Veneers International offers a new dimension in stone veneers. Their unique process uses patented machinery to cut real quarried stone to a thickness of 1-inch to 1-1/4-inch. The result is a lightweight, all natural stone veneer that provides the beauty and durability of real stone without the weight of traditional stone veneers. The product is easy to handle and installs quickly.

Because it is real stone and not a manufactured product, all of the desirable properties of natural stone remain. Infinite variations in color and texture assure a beautiful, naturally colorfast surface every time.

Natural Stone Veneers International ships orders throughout the United States using a Master Distributor Network. Corrugated plastic boxes which stand up to the elements are used to transport the product. These boxes increase the efficiency of shipping and make the stone easier to handle at the job site. For larger orders, special crates have been developed for similar ease and convenience.

Nature’s beauty provides a plentiful pallet. Over 50 different stone veneers and patterns are available from Natural Stone Veneers International.

COMPANY OFFERS REAL STONE VENEERS

With over 130 years of combined experience in the stone industry, family-owned Natural Stone Veneers International brings a revolutionary new process to the production of stone veneers. The company handles all facets of production from quarrying of the natural stone to the development, branding and marketing of the finished product. A Natural Stone Veneers product is thinner than traditional veneer, easier to handle and install and yet offers the same natural beauty and durability of its much heavier and more costly counterpart.

The process for creating the thinner veneer was developed by Dennis Buechel, owner of Natural Stone Veneers International. Patented machinery cuts quarried natural stone to a thickness of 1-inch to 1-1/4-inch, compared to traditional veneers which some in some cases bear thicknesses of up to 4 inches. This exciting new product saves on installation time and eliminates the need for additional structure supports due to its light weight.

Dennis’s wife, Renee Buechel, oversees daily operations of the company. Sales—both national and international—as well as marketing and corporate liaison duties are handled by sons Joe, Jason and Jesse.
There are over 50 different stone veneers and patterns available through Natural Stone Veneers International. A Master Distributor Networks makes shipping possible throughout the United States.
